| Comments: |
Imp Trail and North Carter trails were roughly broken out. Unconsolidated snow as there has not been heavy foot traffic to pack the snow. The Imp Trail heading to The Imp from the North Carter Trail junction was not broken out as of noon. The Carter-Moriah Trail was well packed out south of the North Carter trail junction. Nobody had ventured to North Carter. The snow pack was about 4 feet or so as the White AT trail blazes on the trees were at the snow line. Many branches protrude in to the trailway. The trail was less distinct on the open ledges of Mt Lethe and the north side of Middle Carter due to the west winds drifting the snow. The Carter Dome trail was well used however there were pocks and an occasional posthole from a bare boot hiker. The Nineteen Brook Trail was a solid snowshoe track. |
