| Comments: |
19 Mile brook trail was packed out, but Carter Dome Trail was untrodden with heavy deep snow, up to 4 feet in sections. I hiked with Cedric and Sugaree. Even with 3 of us breaking trail it was difficult and slow going, losing the trail several times and breaking trail in 3-4 new feet of new snow. Many trees were down over the trail weighted down by the heavy snow. Did not make it to Zeta Pass. Trail is now broken out to about 1/4 Mile (?) from the pass, where we had to turn around due to time factor. We cleared some of the downed trees and marked sections of the trail to indicate the correct location of the trail. |
