Lot of groups in parking lot this morning. Fresh snow, some groups going to Jefferson. We were going Ammo to Crawford over Monroe and Eisenhower. Broke and leveled trail to Gem Pool. Loose pack up to Ammo Stream crossing. Saw some bare-Booters on the way back. Just above stream crossing lost trail tried to come up ravine. Visibility less than 20-30 ft with a few dead ends. Decided to take all back down had a total of 11 hikers with me today.
The mountain beat us today, but we all got back down safely. It will be there another day.
Route finding above the stream difficult with no visual clues.
Oh, we'll another day. |
