Comments
Comments: Trail was filled in this morning with about 2" of loose snow down low to about 3 to 4 inches higher up. Up to the Jct. with the Rollins Trail the snow was very sticky from the morning sun. We had to kick the clogs off our snowshoes every 5 or 6 steps. After the Rollins and to the summit the snow was dryer and we didn't have any problems. Firm base but loose snow on top. We barebooted to the crossing and put our snowshoes on and left them on for the rest of the day. Loose snow on top of a firm base. It needs to have more traffic to really pack it down. We cleared several blowdowns. Vinny C. and I had the trail to ourselves today.
