Comments
Comments: I'm posting this mainly to comment on the Engine Hill bushwhack. A number of parties have been in this way since the last storm, and each has tried to improve on the previous party's Engine Hill whack. The best that's available right now leaves the RB trail a little before the height of land. There's a few meanders and it goes up a little higher than it probably should at one point, but with the exception of a few bands of thick stuff, it follows nice open lanes most of the way to the Iso trail about 1/2 mile before the crossing. I pulled a heavy pulk through it all, so hikers with daypacks should not find it especially taxing.
