Great hike! Stayed packed down pretty well despite the snow continuously falling. We did just fine on microspikes but would definitely recommend some sort of traction especially towards the summit. Trail was clear with no blowdowns, and weather was relatively moderate. I needed only my base layer until I hit the Franconia ridge trail, where the wind started to pick up. Only stayed at the summit a couple minutes, no view really available but awesome hike! Great sliding down on our butts, makes for a faster way down! Saw a lot of other happy hikers :) Great hiking with you Dave! |
