Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: By the time we arrived at 10 AM the lot was completely full. We had to park further down the road where the snow was cleared from the shoulder from a previous storm but still deep enough where only a 4 wheel drive truck could have safely parked there.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The one stream crossing was well snow-bridged.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: On Mount Osceola Trail: a couple blowdowns but no real issues at current snow levels; signage seemed fine; blazing was faded; minor brushing needed in spots otherwise in good shape.

Comments
Comments: Light traction from beginning to end including the Chimney Bypass. All crossings were for the most part snowbridged. From trailhead to East Osceola, route had been broken. The steeps going up East Osceola were a workout! Route from East Osceola to Mt. Osceola was also well packed. For Bypass, the combination of using microspikes and rock handholds worked fine for us. Butt sliding down from East Peak was very fast so I appreciated the ice axe; most may find poles sufficient. We saw a lot of hikers on the route today; probably about 20 in all.
