Comments
Comments: I decided to get the road walk out of the way and headed to the Garfield trail via logging road and abandoned snowmobile trail which intersects the Garfield Trail. The short cut saved some distance but was untracked which probably meant it didn't save much time. Garfield trail was nicely tracked with some minor drifting near the top. Gray Jay followed me from the intersection with the Garfield Ridge Trail to the summit. The section between Garfield and the Gale river trail was covered in new snow with a faint marking of the old tracks. the remaining section of the Garfield ridge, frost trail and gale river were all packed very well by previous traffic. Only saw two people all day.
