Plan B for me turned out to be a great day out. I met many new faces from a meetup group and the 9 of us +1 dog packed out a nice snowshoe track to the summit of Mt Cabot. Unfortunately, there were still others that would rather carry snowshoes than wear them. Very busy today. I saw more people on Cabot than my last 6 times combined. On our way up the trail was well broken but the tracks stopped at the clearing just past the cabin. A big OOPS! for the guy that thought he bagged #47. I broke trail the last few tenths of a mile to the actual summit through about a foot of powder and drifts. A group of two were planning on going to The Horn and doing the loop but lost the trail very shortly after leaving the summit of Cabot and turned around. York Pond Tr only had ski tracks on it past the Bunnell Notch Tr junction, Kilkenny Ridge Tr was not broken out south of Bunnell Notch or north of Mt Cabot's summit and the unmaintained Mt Cabot Tr was unbroken as well. Thanks Pam and Matt for a great hike.
