| Comments: |
Pine Bend Brook (PBB) packed out well enough for bare-booting down low, and crampons on the butt-slidable steeps, without a trace of post-holing. We used snow shoes on the Scaur Ridge and Mt. Tripyramid trails, with the deeper, slightly less consolidated snow there, although that trail was well packed out also. Sabbaday Brook Trail appeared well broken out (we met two groups that came up that way), and Scaur Ridge below the PBB junction appeared to be somewhat broken out, but no recent tracks. The snow was starting to fall on our way down, so these trail conditions may not last into tomorrow. |
