Cold, windy yet sunny afternoon on Tecumseh. It was a lonely trail today. I only met one couple coming down right near the beginning of the hike and one couple ascending the cone when I was coming down. Haven't been on this trail in 16 years. I appreciate the smooth track in winter, for sure. It was as steep as I remember though easier without the 40 lb. pack I had last time I came up this way with my brother. I had some great views along the way, on the west side of the cone and at the summit toward Mt. Osceola and Mount Tripyramid. |
