Comments
Comments: Snow dense and packed "styrofoam" on trail, deep off trail with crust in some areas. Snow mobile tracks under power line make for easy walking there.

Winslow trail offered good protection from wind. Temperature on trail around 10 degrees. Above tree line wind very strong at 40-50 mph -- enough to blow one off balance with temperature around 8 degrees, approximate windchill around -17/-24. Able to stop and get some shelter at old look-out cabin porch before commencing onto descent.

Great hike, besides wind above tree line which was exciting in and of itself, climbing was easy and vigorous.
