Comments
Comments: 19 Mile Brook is well packed out, although this morning there was a dusting of new snow down low, and about an inch up high. Going up to the ridge, it was hard to tell that people hiked this yesterday - it was extremely windblown and major drifts formed. It was a little tricky along the steepest section because of all the soft powder. My MSRs did fine though. Care was needed to follow the trail in a couple places between A & B - just had to bust right through the waist level drifts to find the trail. Saw a few people on the ridge (2 guys with microspikes, but lucky for the next hiker, their tracks will be drifted in). By the time we headed from D back to A, our tracks were already gone. Snowshoes were the way to go.
