Trails in order, Gale River Trail, Garfield Ridge Trail, Frost Trail, Back to Garfield Ridge and up to South Twin.
Getting to Gale River Trail you can use light traction and or skis on tha packed snowmobile trail. First mile or two on Gale River Trail you can use light traction as well. Snow gets deep and I would recommend that you use snow shoes from her on out until all trails a packed more. I used mine from door to door just because I did not feel like putting them on and taking them off. Trail to Galehead was in good shape and mostly packed. Trail to South Twin had one othe set of tracks going up and back making me the second so there was still allot of work. Couple other people up there yesterday as well so might be packed more. Trail to North Twin was not broken out so I bailed at this point and went back the same way. Still a great day though. |
