Comments
Comments: Hiked the Spruce Goose X-C trail with snowshoes. Stayed to the side of ski tracks when snow was soft. Nice alternative to Zealand Road. Spruce Goose passes through Sugarloaf campground and briefly joins Zealand Road in crossing brook on the bridge. The Spruce Goose X-C trail leaves Zealand Road at the point when the snowmobile trail turns right.
The Hale Brook Trail had a nice snowshoe track. The snow was firm in the side hill section so there was little tendency for down slope slippage. The Lend a Hand Trail and the Firewarden's Trail had both experienced foot traffic.
