Comments
Comments: Nice afternoon for this one! Lower trail is pretty beat up and rough the first mile, but, pretty well packed by snowshoes (but NOT solid - snowshoes needed!!!!) above that. Quite a few people on the trail today but no new traffic appeared to cross the ridge to/from Whiteface - only a couple sets of snowshoe tracks there, surprisingly, so it looked pretty rough. Most of the side trails and paths did not look broken out. Great views from the outlook (almost no traffic to that side). Interesting sight: a hardy pair of snowshoers near the summit in summer shorts/t-shirts/swim trunks and gaitors!!!
