Comments
Comments: There was no ice anywhere - even on the summits. There was evidence of bare booting on the Liberty Spring Trail, but no postholing. We used snowshoes as the steepness increased, for better traction. Only snowshoes across the Franconia Ridge; no evidence of bare booting. The Liberty summit was wind-blowned but not icy. The Flume summit was only snow. We met some people at the Flume summit that said they broke out the Osseo Trail on 14 Feb.
