Comments
Comments: Intended to summit Mt Adams today and settled for Sam Adams. 3 to 4 inches fresh and windblown snow with drifts heading to alpine zone. Some deeper drifts heading out of treeline. Visibility was very poor late morning with blowing snow and fog. After passing over rise that precedes Sam Adams, fog was very dense and was finding spruce traps rather than cairns heading towards Thunderstorm Jct. Opted to yield to conditions and climbed Sam Adams before return. Some overnighters heading up as I headed down, trail should be in excellent condition.
