Comments
Comments: Ice Ice Baby.. that being what a great day this turned out to be . cold in the morning and on top but crystal clear blue skies and at most a 5 mph wind at times. trail is very bare down below with icy spots and many stretches of bare ground we put on spike to past Bald Knob Jct where we put on trail crampons(Katoolah Trail Crampons got a big thumbs up) (Hillsounds a little less so..they just dont seem to adjust correctly) for the long stretches of flow ice from there to the ridge.saw where others had avoided ice by staying in the woods. Kept the traction on over to South and back down to the water crossings. Ridge ledges pretty much filled in..some ice in places . quite a winter hiking day though the total lack of snow down below is very disconcerting. great day out with Valerie
