Surface Conditions: Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable)

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Challenging in places. I broke through twice. Last crossing going in has a better spot just 100 feet upstream. Just past this last crossing, there's a small stream completely covered, but makes sounds like a jet engine. Very unusual.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few blow downs here, otherwise very well maintained. A lot of recent sawed limbs, I noticed.

Comments
Comments: The Kanc was packed snow on the way up. It was 7F when I reached the parking. Trails were covered with a light dusting from the night before, which covered all tracks from the previous days. Passed some overnight campers on the way in, otherwise it was just me. Decided to up the North Hancock direction first as I did it the other way the previous time. No ice or anything notable. The ridge traversal is a bit claustrophobic in places, but otherwise well maintained. Glissaded most of the descent off South Hancock which was fun. Met two other solo hikers around this time.

Views from the summits were not bad. Met the obligatory Canada Jays. South Hancock was socked in when I reached North, but had cleared by the time I made it there. It was mid 20s and becoming overcast when I finished. Total time was 4:18 minutes.
