| Water Crossing Notes: |
The real story of the day... I started out solo on this hike and went up and down the edge of the brook at the first crossing for a long time and could not find a place to cross. Everything that looked like solid flow-ice would slush away under my foot when I put any weight on it. My friend Skip came along and we headed way downstream. Finally found a downed tree that we could cross on. |

Lovely day out with blue skies in the AM. Started out solo, but was happy for Skip's company! Skies clouded over by the time we finished at noon. Trail was hard-packed and we wore microspikes/Hillsounds car-to-car. Had to be creative on both water crossings, but Skip was great at finding us a way around the problem areas. Virtually no wind, but temps were cold (single-digits). Great day out! Thanks Skip! |
