Comments
Comments: There are some days that seem surreal. Today was on of those. Bill Cronin, Bill Schor and I got clear skies for the climb up Valley Way and on Madison. There was a couple inches of new snow that had been packed out by Pam and Erica's traverse group and whom we followed all the way over to Jefferson. I used micro spikes and the two Bills snow shoes. Really you could have gone either way and we used micro spikes to climb Madison and had to be careful of boiler plate in a few places.

On Adams as on Madison there were low winds to a dead calm. There was a little bit of ice that the snow had covered and made travel at times uncertain. There was also a mix of snow, rock and ice that required some care and tore up some of our micro spikes.
Jefferson was more of the same but the skies were clouding and the shadows on the rocks were fabulous as well as the views on all directions.
Both Bills are quite the characters and we were entertained with interesting stories all day.
We came back from Edmunds Col using Randolph Path East which I have never been on before. Once we got into the treeline we switched to snowshoes as the snow was 6-8 inches or more of unpacked powder. It was a pleasant and fluffy ride down.
We hit a few ice patches on the way down but overall travel was fast and we got out a little after dark.
