Craig and Ron were driving up to hike Lincoln, Deidra and I were going over for Hale, so we compromised and did Jefferson. It was a fabulous day above tree line. Very little wind and the summits stayed in the clear all day. The footing above tree line is tedious because there is 3-5" of loose snow over bare rocks in many places. Jewell is well packed out now. |
