Comments
Comments: The hike started out cold but was nice once we got into the woods. The Willey Range Trail was drifted over in places and the winds were blowing hard before the summit of Field (coming from Tom.) I would expect that section to be drifted over by tomorrow. The tenth of a mile off-trail ramble that Chris talked about is no longer, as we got the track back on course. Great views today from all three peaks. A good day out with Slowshoes even though he held me at gunpoint and demanded I feed the gray jay on Willey so he could get a picture. I thought we weren't supposed to feed the wildlife??

Highlight of the day was three guys who false summited all three peaks today because they had no idea where they were going. We ran into them on Field bushwhacking off trail to "tag" the summit, and then saw them later eating lunch and telling us how they missed us on Willey. My guess is they missed us just like they missed the summit. It gave us a few chuckles as we made our way back down the trail.

and I didn't even mention the barebooters...................
