Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a blue water bottle on Airline near its intersection with the Chemin des Dames; I think that Steve left it at the Appalachia trailhead.

Comments
Comments: The trails are in great shape: Valley Way is a packed highway (light traction until just before treeline; then, snowshoes on the new drifty snow), Gulfside was broken out through a foot of rime ice (very crunchy), and the Airline Trail has wonderful, lightly packed powdery snow that is a joy to snowshoe on. A great day to be out -- nice views over and through the undercast, low winds and very warm temperatures...but saw only two people other than those in our group. Originally an early start for sunrise photography was pushed back because of cloud cover -- and it allowed me to hike with Karen, Beth, Ken and Steve. A fine, fine time was had by all.
