Comments: No Slowshoes today as he said something about someone getting inaugurated.

The trail is in good shape for snowshoeing. There weren't many signs of postholes but they were scattered here and there. There was about a half-inch to inch of new snow on the trail with a little more as I got higher up. On the Crawford Path, above the Mizpah Cutoff, snow had drifted over on the trail with some drifts as deep as a foot. The Webster-Jackson Trail was hardpacked and frozen but snowshoes were good enough for traction.

The summit was gorgeous today with the Presidential Range out in all its glory. The views were spectacular and I hung out at the summit for about 5 minutes as I measured wind speeds and wind chills. I had around 20mph sustained with gusts a little over 25mph. Wind Chills were around -30 degrees. I saw no one for the short time I was out and it was nice to have the mountain all to myself.
