Comments
Comments: We wore snowshoes car to car. Broke trail in 3" of powder until the Fire Warden Tr then we were passed by a speedy hiker headed to Lincoln Woods, via Franconia Ridge. Very windy and windswept on South Twin. The clouds were at about 6000' giving us great views. From Galehead down was a well packed snowshoe track. One old set of tracks heading east on the Twinway from South Twin, no tracks descending Twin Brook Tr, and at lest three sets heading west along Garfield Ridge Tr past Gale River Tr junction. Beaver Brook Ski Trail is at the back of the first campsite on the right along Gale River Loop Rd.
