Beautiful, but chilly day on top. Used microspikes up until the intersection of the Flume Tr and Liberty Spring Tr. Used snowshoes to break trail and pack it down with about 4" of powder. Wore them all the way to the summit but I saw plenty of people coming up in crampons or microspikes. Trail is really chewed up and many hidden portholes about a mile from the summit. Ended up wear crampons on the whole way down. |
