Comments
Comments: 19 Mile Brook Trail to the junction with the Carter Dome trail was packed, and to the junction of Wildcat Ridge Trail, a little softer. Along the 19 Mile Trail, saw people wearing all sorts of traction (crampons included, which was not necessary!) and non traction. Some post holes forming. Wore snowshoes the entire trip and was quite happy with this decision. Going up to A there was an inch of fresh powder and some drifts. In sections between the peaks, previous tracks were completely covered but it was still easy to follow the AT, and it looked like a winter wonderland. Winds were howling between the trees, but this was a great hike today!
