Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: as previous poster noted, the lot was FULL mid-day. I went .5 mi up Kanc to the plow-out and put on the ski boots, and then decided walking the kanc in ski boots could be dangerous given how fast the passing SUV's drive it. Soooo, I drove back to the trailhead and a space finally opened up - that was at 12:30.

Comments
Comments: I skied the Hancock Notch Trail to the Cedar Brook Junction where I switched to snowshoes. The ski conditions were excellent tho you really don't gain much time on the way in - too many herringbones required. The ski out at the end of the day is super-fun!!! Only had to take the skis off twice - mostly for the big hill and then for some open water I didn't quite make. I've skied up Cedar Brook Trail before but it's a little too fast for descent when broken out. NOTE: Cedar Brook was not broken out past the junction to the Hancocks. Also, Hancock Notch Trail was not broken out south past the junction.
Fine views today. Got out a little after dark - trail was pretty smoothed out by then.
