Parked at the Basin parking lot, nearly full at noon. Short walk to the shortcut where I put on the snow shoes. Two minutes later I switched to micro spikes as there really wasnt enough snow to warrant the shoes. Stayed in the micro spikes for the rest of the day. Most of the Liberty Spring Trail is well packed and relative free of post holes. The exception is between the tent site and the ridge where its pretty chewed up. No tracks headed towards Haystack but trail is packed out toward Mt Flume from Liberty. Awesome views from the top. |
