Comments
Comments: Not sure what to expect today after the thaw but were pleased to find a hard packed trail from beginning to end. Some post-holing , primarily on Rocky Branch but of no real problem. Look for hole, see hole, don't step in hole-pretty simple. The bushwhack, Isolation trail and Davis Path were great- minimal post-holing present. Thanks to Bryan, Tim and others for snow shoeing on Sunday, keeping the trail in such nice shape overall despite the post-holing of others. We wore micro-spikes all day and the trail is very fast-in and out in little more than 4.5 hours. Plenty of time for Steve to run up Moriah afterward as he grinds inexorably towards completion of the GRID this Spring. Perfect day to be out-sunny, around 30 degrees and light breeze on top.
