Once we got to the notch the sky was blue. We had a nice day with lots of blue sky. I will say, In the morning the snow was set up enough and so we used micros to the relo trail on Gail River T. There the snow was getting a little deeper and softer so we put on snow shoes the rest of the hike. The trail had been broken out but not packed well. We were not breaking trail but trying to smooth it out with sticky, mushy, snow was a little work. Coming down from the top where the snow was deeper it was very easy to post hole even with s shoes, tried to fix them but afraid some of ours and some on anorher day remain. Trail needs more than 2 people to smooth it out. |
