Couple of small crossings are bridged but the bridges are breaking down fast.
One crossing with open water requires a small detour and a jump to avoid wet feet. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Several dogs on the trails today - and they all seemed to have a great time in the unseasonably warm weather.
Potholing on the Kinsman Ridge is a nuisance for the dogs. Mostly, they can avoid them but sometimes they trip in the holes. Not good. |

| Comments: |
Mt. Kinsman trail is well-packed but is softening fast in the warm weather. Georg and I used micropspikes until the junction with the spur to Bald Peak. Then we changed to snowshoes and kept them on for the rest of the hike.
Kinsman Ridge to North Kinsman has a lot of postholing. Between the 2 peaks the trail is in better shape.
A great deal of slush around South Kinsman and with the continued warm temperatures there is going to be a lot more of that around. |
