| Comments: |
The snow went from wet and sticky in the morning to REALLY sticky as the day progressed. We wore microspikes on Ninteen Mile Brook Tr, then snowshoes for the rest of the day. There were some deep postholes around Middle Carter from a lone bare-booter. Snow on the lower part of Imp trail is going fast--rocks were sticking through in some places (but easily avoided) and snowshoes were still the footware of choice. The snow was so wet it felt like we walked in sand all day. Still, it was a sunny, beautiful day with great views and an undercast in the distance. |
