19 Mile Brook trailhead lot well plowed. USFS has posted a sign reminding visitors that parking is limited, and parking on road may result in ticketing and/or towing by the State. |

Some open drainages, easily crossed. All significant streams bridged. No real issues. |

Signage seemed okay. Some low-hanging branches and a few blowdowns on Wildcat Ridge Trail (one was rather awkward). |

19 MB Trail barebootable until Carter Dome Trail junction. Above that, marginally barebootable, but some drifting and soft snow and postholing potential.
Snowshoes came on at the Notch. I followed recent snowshoe tracks up from the Notch to Wildcat A - thanks to the trail breaker, who continued on to D and E, then returned. Track across slide had a half-decent snow shelf, but much care still required. A very thoughtful hiker might have use for a small saw here and there ascending A, especially after another foot or two of snow. |
