|Date of Hike:
||Friday, January 11, 2013|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Plenty of room at the end of the road past the Seven Dwarfs |
||Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Drifts |
||Snowshoes, Light Traction |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Low water and plenty of rocks to hop on. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Just a few trees leaning into the trail. |
|Lost and Found:
||We used Hillsounds until we reached the start of the Fire Wardens Trail, then put on snowshoes. |
The trail had been broken out and we were able to see tracks for most of the hike. Up high there was drifting snow covering the trail but it was still easy to find our way.
Conditions were perfect coming down, very fast.
