We wore snowshoes top to bottom. Pair in front of us were barebooting and left some post holes where trail wasn't as packed near the top. I think the 3 of us smoothed it out pretty well though. Only issue is the steeper areas where people have been sliding down a lot, the snow cover is getting thin and really needed to dig the snowshoes in to get a grip going up. Winds were very high today. We were protected going up but got knocked around a little at the summit. Pretty good views today though. Webster branch of the trail appears to be well broken out, but we chose the up and down route today. |
