It's been three years since the girls last hiked this peak. This was Alex's first 4K (2008) and Sage's first 4K and first winter 4K (Feb 2010). We enjoyed the trip down memory lane. Took us two hours to go up, one hour to hike/sled down. Good times. The girls were surprised how at easy this hike feels to them now. I'll have a report on my Girls on the Way blog in a couple of days.
Wore snowshoes on the way up and barebooted on the way down (the girls used their sleds). Light traction is all you really need right now. |
