Comments
Comments: Nice track all the way to summit of Mt. Liberty in Micro-spikes. A little drifting of 1 ft. between summits. Windblown on both summits. Flume slide blown in drifts of 2 feet. Entire slide deep drifts of 3 feet. Middle butt slide material. Blue ice under snow in some parts of middle of trail. Very steep, some consolidated snow to get a grip on, otherwise use sides of trail and hold onto branches for control and use deep snow to slow your decent. Hiking poles useful, we stayed on micro-spikes although I would have put on crampons had I brought them. Had snowshoes, not useful for this section. Butt slider heaven if your brave. I am not. Scary descent for me, Dave Bear and Thor loved it. Sure gets you down in elevation quick. Tiring though. Nice track out on Flume Slide Tr. lower half mostly bear booted and fairly firm. Brooks all open still but easily crossed.

no views today on summits. All socked in. Much warmer than last weekend, for sure. Thanks Dave Bear and Thor (dog) for a great successful pair of summits, # 6 & 7 for me.
