Comments
Comments: Trail is a winter wonderland of deep, packed snow. Our group of 10 all used showshoes up to Tom and across Field and Willey to the ladders on coming down from Mt. Willey. The first ladder was intimidating to descend. We changed into microspikes, (one in the group used crampons)and made it down. Some of us did a mini bushwack to avoid the ladder. Good sliding on the rest of the way down. It was unavoidable in places. Lots of fun.

Careful when summitting Mt. Tom. Be sure to turn left at the large junction of snowshoe tracks to reach the true summit.
