| Comments: |
A great day to do the Carters. Started from the driveway to Camp Dodge, and followed the road until it intersected with the Imp Trail. Some drifted areas on Imp, especially through the open woods sections. North Carter Trail was challenging, with some drifting, and lots of snow/ice laden trees hanging into the trail.
Carter-Moriah was mostly drifted in, so we broke it back out, until relief came the other way about halfway between Middle and South. Once down to Zeta Pass, we decided to continue on downward. By that point, the sun had come out, and the winds had died down. Thanks to Mike and Jes for a great hike, and congratulations to Jes for #'s 30 and 31. So much for 5 before the end of 2012! |
