Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked in winter lot at beginning of loop road. 2 other cars in lot, 3 cars still in lot when we finished. Note that there is a n active logging operation and the loop road goes right over the second bridge, unplowed. We took cleared plowed logging access road all the way to the logging operation before we realized we went the wrong way - couple of extra miles, oh well.

Comments
Comments: Started early 7:30, but with detour to the logging operations didn't get to the Garfield trailhead until 9! Nice walk in the trees, since we opted out of anything with exposure due to the forecast of high winds and the temperature dropping, stated at 34 was in the teens when we got out. No real view when we made it to the summit, also wind made any exposed skin dangerously cold in seconds. Tough just to get up to old tower foundation. Met up with 3 single hikers and one group camping tonight, good luck to Andrew who was going to do Wiley and Field after Garfield today. Great day in the woods, thanks for company Linda.
