Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lot at the train station was not plowed. My F-350 had no problem using the lot. Four wheel drive was mandatory.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings either bridged or one step to cross.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Best maintained trails I have been on this year. Two blowdowns you can step over. One more storm and they will be covered. Cut one leaner just before Mt Avalon and another high up on Avalon Tr. All the others you can bypass or go under with current snow depths. Many thanks to the folks that have been cutting trees over the last few weeks.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Very hard packed trail. Should not be an issue.
Bugs
Bugs:
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: N/A

Comments
Comments: I expected more wind at the top after listing to the higher summits forecast. The top had winds of 10-15 with gusts up to 20. The temp was -3F. Not a bad Wx day. Very minor drifts where you would expect. Used micro-spikes from start to finish.
