| Water Crossing Notes: |
If you go off to check out Elephant Head, there is a spot where the snow has piled up around the plank, so it can be deceptive: you think you're walking on snow and...plop! Foot in the water. |

| Comments: |
A snowshoer's dream trail. Light, fluffy snow on a well-troddened trail. It didn't get deep until I was nearing the tree-line. The summit was finger-stinging cold, but once below the tree-line, it was warm enough to descend without gloves.
