Comments
Comments: Pine Bend Trail a terrific snowshoe track to the ridge. A bit loose and very deep coming out of the ravine. All ledges filled in up high which made for easy going . Trail wanders a bit on the ridge but gets there..ledges filled in some drifting especially around Middle. Very windy coming up the gully and we met another group that turned around there because of the winds and unconsolidated footbed. Wind continued on the hogback but actually the summits werent bad and we were able to linger and admire the far reaching views. Our group of 7 and a couple of other hikers, all in snowshoes, left this trail as a great snowshoe track . Get it while you can. Awesome butt sliding on descent..Great day out with Tim and Valerie, Bryan and Cynthia, and Ali and Tracey. Happy New Year to all
