Comments
Comments: Well-trod snowshoe track in up to a foot of new powder. Few bare-booters struggling have not postholed it yet, though they were trying their best.

We turned around at treeline. Air temp 15F, wind NW 25-30, you figure the wind chill. Fingers got real cold in less than a minute of photography. Wind throwing snow high in the air as it blew up the fir and spruce of the west ridge, sun backlighting the snow clouds...

Classic winter day. Keep moving, keep eating and drinking. Kudos to the hard chargers who tromped out the track for us.
