A spectacular day above treeline. Didn't see anyone until heading back down from Pierce. Crawford Path to Mizpah Cutoff is well packed, and to the junction of the spur up Pierce, the trail had a dusting of snow but still good footing. Broke trail from the junction to Eisenhower. Some drifts were waist deep. The section up Eisenhower with the ladders was a little icy but snowshoes worked all day. Enjoyed the bluebird day. |
