	Parking/Access Road Notes:	breezy in the Notch with plenty of parking

	Surface Conditions:	Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Ice - Blue, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular

	Recommended Equipment:	Light Traction

	Water Crossing Notes:	crossings all open but easily crossed today..some of the upper ones bridging over with some punch throughs

	Trail Maintenance Notes:	one good size step over near Bugle outlook. Many bendovers and several were taken out

	Dog-Related Notes:	frozen crust on summit cone caught Nyx off guard at one point and she slipped a bit..otherwise no issues

	Comments:	late start and a short hike worked out fine today.Trail is very choppy to about 2500 feet but gets much better after that with mud and routes all covered. real fast microspike track for most of the way. Above 3800 feet there was loose snow with some drifting but well booted out. Snowshoes would be useless on the narrow track and ours got a free ride today. Ramp to the summit pretty well snowed in and easy going. Windblown glaze above the trees made it a bit slick. Winds were abit less than expected but it was cold and windy and we did not linger. Fast trip down on mostly very good spike footing. Nice day out with Valerie and Tracey
