 | Comments: |
Ammo was tough going with slippery snow over a foot deep on the higher steep sections--used snow shoes the entire way up and most of the way down, crampons worked better on the way down for a non-skier. From Hut to top of Wash. was "easy," with the snow packed and crusty--used snow shoes the entire way. Beautiful day on Washington--blue sky, no wind, 35F. Surrounded by a sea of clouds/fog at lower altitudes, higher peaks stuck up through the clouds, and peaks came and went depending on the cloud sea altitude. |
